You are The Witness. Stewardship comes with responsibility. The Order grants a weight to hold. With your first Cipher Letter, a stone is issued from the Black Ledger.
It may be a common fragment from the Alberta riverbed. The Ledger does not distinguish between the rare and the ordinary when it comes to the work of The Witness.
As a Steward in the Order of the Black Ledger, you are asked to sit with this weight while you tend to the fragments of the Milostate Archive.
The most unremarkable pebble may hold the greatest riddle, just as the smallest mark in the archive may contain the entire temperament of the collection. The path is long and winding. The stone is your anchor.
